Today was the first day of the 2-day event and I was late getting there. I walked in BPL-Central just after 2 p.m. and the event closed up at 3 p.m. So I know I missed some authors and other folks.
Workplay is the venue for an event slated as “FOUND Magazine vs. Postsecret“. All of the sites and printed books/magazines for FOUND and Postsecret are fantastically voyeuristic and comforting at times.
Tickets are $15 a pop (or $40 for the VIP treatment, which includes some kind of ‘smaller intimate setting’) proceeds benefit HopeLine.
The JCLC has a new look to their site and user interface. The update looks great! What is interesting though is they have added “social networking” type functions. So people can now rate books they like, etc. According to the blog post, users will eventually be able to write reviews and make suggestions and such.
