I’m over there too

For the month of December, I’ll also be posting over at The Bham Terminal. It’s a hyper-local site that’s gaining steam here in Birmingham, AL and across the Southeastern U.S.

It looks like my bookish banter will fall in the Timetable section. I haven’t decided if I’ll cross-post or what. We’ll just have to see how it goes.

So check it out, before I do something wrong and cause that cool site to crash (though I’ll try not too)! There’s a lot of good info to crawl through for folks who live around these here parts.

Book Review Podcasts

The Birmingham Public Library has posted a stocking full of podcasts. They feature local librarians’ reviews and recommendations for gift-worthy reads this season. Looks like they’re using PodBean and it loads verrrry fast! So it’s no hassle to cruise them all rather quickly. Very cool!

I’m going to have to check out Yvonne Crumpler’s take on Wayne Flynt’s book to see if we agree. And then check back later to see what else she recommends.

The Secret is out

Workplay is the venue for an event slated as “FOUND Magazine vs. Postsecret“. All of the sites and printed books/magazines for FOUND and Postsecret are fantastically voyeuristic and comforting at times.

Tickets are $15 a pop (or $40 for the VIP treatment, which includes some kind of ‘smaller intimate setting’) proceeds benefit HopeLine.
