There is a full trailer on YouTube for the upcoming documentary on southern letterpress artist Amos Kennedy. The film, Proceed and Be Bold, will debut at Columbia College in Chicago on May 9, 2008. Here is the older teaser.

He is supposed to be at the Alabama Book Festival on April 19th, down in Montgomery. And if you are a fan, then you need to go see him…

word on the street is that he’s moving to Virginia soon.

    Thanks for the heads up… I didn’t realize he was about to move! I have two of his letterpress posters hanging in my living room (and three more waiting to be framed).

    Well, I moved but to Gordo, AL. I have joined the growing art community in Gordo.

    Will be at Kentuck this fall.

    The finished DVD will be available in September.

    What a wonderful discovery I have encoutered this morning! I was listening to PBS radio here in New York City and the featured commentary was about Amos Kennedy! I’ve never heard about him or his work. I look forward to learning more. On my next visit to Birmingham, I shall visit Gordo!
