The site for Marisha Pessl’s Special Topics in Calamity Physics (Viking) is one of the neatest book promo sites out there. In fact, it seems to be a part of the “book companion” site trend. I haven’t read the book, but the site seems to “flesh out” a good bit.
This Thursday (Aug. 10th) Eclipse Coffee & Books in Montevallo will host a book release party for Gregory L. Reese’s “Elvis Religion” starting at 7 pm.
The book explores the fantastically fanatical following surrounding Evis Presely. The event features readings by the author (who teaches at the Univ. of Montevallo), Elvis impersonators, free food and a screening of the “King of Kings” documentary.
