Just finished…

Juan Williams’ Enough. I picked up this book after a great post by one of Birmingham’s more prominant bloggers.

I thought this critical look at racial divides in our country was very logical and clearcut, which (as I understand it) is one of the reasons Williams has come under attack for his statements. Too much cold logic and not enough emotion and historical perspective.

As always I posted my thoughts over on LibraryThing.

My advice: Read the book and decide for yourself.

until it’s officially Buy A Friend A Book Week. We’ve already got our target recipient picked out, but have to wait to buy the book. It is the end of the month right now, you know?

to check this weekend’s BookTV schedule. This weekend is the National Book Festival in D.C. It looks like there’s a big chunk on Saturday devoted to it and you can be they’ll pepper crowd shots and author interviews the rest of the weekend.

Sony released their new e-reader yesterday. They say the new non-backlit technology “rivals the printed page”. At $350 a pop, it better surpass it.
