Last night, I finished Zittrain’s The Future of the Internet and How to Stop It. Interesting read, but waaaaay too long (I have started reading his blog though). You can tell it has the academic slant to it. What passes as a “full review” here on {head}:sub/head is up over at LibraryThing.

Now that Summer is half over and school starts in just two weeks… Birmingham’s local Black and White city paper has released its Summer Reading issue.

According to this cool article/interview, Amazon’s most prolific customer reviewer has posted 12,000 reviews in 7 years. That’s unbelievable and a lot of folks in the industry have been taking note. Though an English professor interviewed for the article admits that she has, on occassion, read 5 books in a day!

I have posted two quick and dirty reveiws of a couple of books I finished last week.
They are both on LibraryThing. One is a review of Philip Roth’s Professor of Desire and the other review is of Andre Schiffrin’s The Business of Books.

It’s been too long since I posted and I’m fighting the urge to just spew forth a link dump here. Too many good blogs out there mentioning too many good things.
So I’ll kick off my official a-few-days-of-catch-up with my not-so literate review of Bill Bryson’s latest book, which I just finished.

Jed Rubenfeld’s The Interpretation of Murder.
It was a good easy read.
